White hat SEO refers to a group of strategies or policies that focus on user experience in creating content while being in line with search engine rules and regulations. White hat SEO will not get your site penalized by the search engines like many black hat tactics do. Doing things the right way is always better in the long run than the alternative.

HOW MANY KEYWORDS SHOULD I BE USING?

There is no straightforward answer to this question, and rather than aiming for a specific number of keywords, it is better to write your content authentically and organically. In fact, if you stuff your content full of keywords without your content being helpful to your viewers, Google will recognize that and penalize your website.

ARE BACKLINKS ANOTHER FORM OF SPAM?

They can be. This occurs when site owners post their links in blog comment sections of other websites for the purpose of increasing their backlinks or inbound links to their website. While inbound links carry much weight in the SEO world, this form of creating backlinks is certainly frowned upon if not penalized for. The best way to build inbound links is to have great quantity and quality of content and get it infront of the right audience.
